150 days since Ellis took me to breakfast & I hugged him “see you soon”.
I can’t believe it’s already been 150 days. I can’t believe he’s well over halfway home. Tears of sadness & loneliness have turned into tears of joy & overwhelming love. Facebook conversations have never meant so much. Skype has never been so special.
150 days down.
So many less to go.
Let me just brag for a second about how amazing he is.
I feel so lucky that we were able to have a funny, cute, normal conversation & even luckier to have a guy like him! Internet cafes rule! xo
Today marks a month since I’ve seen Ellis.
Needless to say, it’s been a rough night. Not a single day has gone by that he hasn’t been the most prominent thought in my mind. I can’t believe it’s already been a month since I’ve seen him, & I suppose that’s a good thing. If this first month passed quickly, I can only hope the next 8 or so will do the same.
This is the most recent picture I have of him, just a few days before he deployed. He’d just had to shave his head completely and he was miserable because he looked like a basketball, but to me he always looks handsome. I hurt my finger doing something ridiculous and he sent me this kiss to make it better.
I adore this man.
Missing this handsome fella.
He wrote my name & address in his cover so if he ever loses it, it gets sent to me. I just think that’s the sweetest thing.
Look what came in the mail today!
Just received another email from Ellis as well, a short one due to blackout but he says he’ll be on again to write more later. I wasn’t expecting to hear from him for a few more days so this was definitely a happy surprise!
